For those of us connected with Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava, the Year of the Monkey – starting on 19th February 2016 – is a special year that comes only once every 12 years. Bhutan has been personally blessed by Guru Rinpoche’s presence and, among all the gurus and devas, Guru Rinpoche is closest to the hearts of the Bhutanese people. To strengthen our connection with Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava, especially next year, we hope to complete 100 million recitations of the Seven-Line Prayer. Rinpoche will give us teachings to help us understand why we supplicate, how we supplicate, what supplication means, and particularly what a supplication to Guru Rinpoche is.

SUPPLEMENTARY TEXT - GURU TENKYE

Under Rinpoche's direction, we are requesting participants to download and bring along to the teachings the 'General Visualization of Guru Rinpoche' (Guru Tenkyé) written by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo at the request of Chokgyur Lingpa.  This text (and visualization) can be used in conjunction with the Seven Line Supplication Prayer to Guru Rinpoche.

You can find 'Guru Tenkye' here:
