Registration may be secured by placing a 30% deposit with the remainder due no later than 1st May.\nRegistration link:\nhttps://riwoche.com/kdjkr-2025/\n=======\nThose attending, please read the following message from Rinpoche:\nIn a few weeks time, as some of you know, I will confer the Dudjom Tersar abhishekas, as requested by the most venerable Khenpo Sonam Tobgyal and his Riwoche centre in Toronto.\nI urge you to refer to what I have written many times before about the utmost importance of tantric procedures and especially of the relationship between the bestower and receivers of an abhisheka. If you have even a minute discomfort or doubt about the tantric teachings or the treasure teachings of Dudjom Lingpa and Dudjom Rinpoche, or most likely about myself because of my own obvious and hidden flaws, character, values, and inadequate and unskilful ways of thinking, then it’s obviously better for you not to receive these transmissions.\nAs well, I want to inform you here that, due to time constraints, I have asked Drubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche to do some of the necessary and related reading transmissions. I want to clarify that you don’t have to receive those transmissions. But for those of you who might want to practice the sadhanas or do some of the pujas, it is highly recommended to receive them.\nReceiving those reading transmissions is not nearly as severe as receiving the abhishekas. Nevertheless, because the contents are tantric teachings, receiving those transmissions from Drubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche means you will also develop a certain tantric relationship with him. If you are not comfortable with that, then you certainly don’t have to receive the reading transmissions. But for those of you who wish to know a little of Drubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche’s background, I will say a few words here.\nDrubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche was recognized as the incarnation of Lama Sonam Zangpo by the great Vajradhara Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche himself. For me, that is all that’s needed, and I don’t have to think beyond that about whether or not it’s a true incarnation and so on. Drubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche is also the only tulku that I have raised from the time of enthronement until now. So, a big responsibility falls on me for any of his flaws or qualities.\nOf course, since I’m not a realized being myself, I can’t say Drubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche is a realized being. But his knowledge of the Buddha’s teachings, both in the Sutrayana and Vajrayana, is excellent, and in this day and age, as far as his knowledge is concerned, I consider him one of the better ones.\nUnder my guidance, he has not only done the three-year retreat, but has also received teachings and done practices in both the Nyingma and Drukpa Kagyu traditions. I have also given him responsibility for teaching in different places, and for tasks like advising Khyentse Foundation, 84000, and especially the Licchavi project in Nepal. I have also asked him to look after my seat in Dewathang in east Bhutan.\nDrubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche seems to have genuine devotion towards the Buddha, dharma and sangha, and till now I have not seen him consciously or knowingly violate the laws of cause, condition and effect. His humility is not really a cultural show, and I have not noticed him selling himself. In this day and age, I would say those are not bad qualities.\nIn short, I’d say it should be safe for you to have this connection with Drubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche, but it’s entirely your own decision to which you should pay attention.\n— Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse\n
