SUMMARY:Riwo Sangchö (SI Chile)

SUMMARY:Courses with Polu Tulku in Berlin
DESCRIPTION:Bodhispace Berlin announces:\n\n \nOur Bhutanese 🇧🇹 friend (mitra) Polu Tulku is kindly hosting our meditations til the end of November. Polu has studied Buddhist Philosophy extensively and, in addition, has a strong meditation background. He is with us in Berlin for the next few weeks and months, and we are extremely excited to hang out, explore, and practice together.\n \nMitra literally means “friend”. Or we could say, “comrade”. Somebody who is on the path with us, whom we can rely on for support. Somebody we can hang out with. 🎈\n \nIn our weekly meditations, we give a full introduction to the traditional Buddhist meditation techniques. We delve into the technique of shamata meditation – calm abiding – and try out multiple objects of meditation such as the breath, the aliveness of the body, visual objects, sound, smell, emotions/ feelings, and so on. We learn how to meditate with eyes closed and with eyes open. We also explore more free and non-conceptual meditation states related to the technique called Vipassana – analytical/ wisdom meditation – such as open awareness and authentic awareness. We serve tea, and there is lots of room to practice together and share our experiences. \n \n(Almost) every Monday (8-9PM) and Thursday (7.30-9PM) at Bodhispace in Neukölln & Fridays (5.30-6.30PM) at Dharma Mati in Westend.\nIn addition, Polu will join the Bodhi Course “Clear Mind” every Friday (6.30-8PM) at Dharma Mati in Westend starting on October 16.\nTo join this specific course, it is necessary to register in advance (more infos: https://pretix.eu/rigpa/bodhi-B-CM-26/).\n \nEveryone is welcome, be it a first-timer, beginner, intermediate or advanced meditator! No registration is needed, donation-based.\n \nAbout Polu Tulku Rinpoche: \nTulku was born in Bhutan in 1996 and was recognised by H.H. Sakya Jigdrel Dagchen Rinpoche and H.E. Garje Khamtrul Rinpoche as the reincarnation of the incredible Dzogchen yogi, Polu Khenpo Dorji.\nTulku spent much of his childhood studying at Sakya Centre, Dehradun, and Dzongsar Institute, Himachal Pradesh.\nOn completing his Buddhist studies, he received many Vajrayana empowerments under masters of the Sakya and Nyingma traditions.\nTulku lives in Bhutan with his family and teaches at Chökyi Gyatso Institute, Dewathang.\n \n

SUMMARY:Talk with Polu Tulku – Buddha born in Berlin – and then?
DESCRIPTION:\n \nBuddha born in Berlin – and then?\nA talk with Polu Tulku\nFriday, 9th October 2026, 7 pm\nIn English and in person only\nVenue: “Buddhism in Berlin”, Neckarstrasse 12, 12053 Berlin-Neukölln\nEntrance: donation box for Polu Tulk\nThe title is inspired by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche’s mental experiments to investigate what the essence of Buddhism actually is.\nThe lecture addresses the question of how the essence of Buddhism manifests:\nWhat are cultural norms, cultural traditions, and cultural customs, and what does Buddhism look like when it more strongly integrates Western metaphors, Western philosophical currents, and Western culture to convey its essence?\nHow would a Buddha born in Berlin dress and behave?\nHow would he or she convey the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, or the concept of emptiness?\nFollowing the lecture, we look forward to a lively exchange and questions on the topic with Polu Tulku.\n \n \nAbout Polu Tulku Rinpoche: \nTulku was born in Bhutan in 1996 and was recognised by H.H. Sakya Jigdrel Dagchen Rinpoche and H.E. SUMMARY:Study group – hosted by Italia SI (SI Europe)
SUMMARY:Foundations of Samadhi: Düntün (Seven-day) Retreat with Jakob Leschly
DESCRIPTION:The Foundations of Samadhi: Düntün is being held from Friday November 6th to Friday November 13th 2026 at the Wangapeka Retreat Centre, near Nelson.\n\n\n“Ideally the ultimate retreat is to retreat from the past and the future, to always remain in the present. However our mind is so empowered and controlled by habit all the time. One characteristic of habit is not being able to sit still, not being able to remain in the present. This is because being in the present is so scary, so boring and unbearable for our deluded and spoiled mind. Little do we know that actually being in the present is so exciting and the most liberating from all kinds of pain, suffering and anxiety.”\n– Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse\n\n\nThis retreat is held under the auspices of Tibetan Buddhist master Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche with Jakob Leschly ( https://siddharthasintent.org/jakob-leschly-bio/ ) as his resident instructor. The practice of Buddhist meditation allows us to cut through confusion and uncover an innate disposition of clarity and wisdom. It is to establish a peaceful space of presence and mindfulness, from which we can appreciate a wider and clearer experience of our reality. A retreat is an invaluable moment of discovery, clarification, and deepening of insight. Jakob Leschly will lead the 7-day retreat, offering general instruction and individual interviews.\n\nNewcomers needn’t feel apprehensive; the retreat is suitable both to those new to meditation through to more seasoned practitioners. This will be a silent retreat. Unless participants have particular reasons, there will be no use of mobile phones or the internet.\nPlease see the Retreat Schedule and Info document ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/13qlL7LWPnGCK7SeeP_irpclHMBLYyYP1/view?usp=sharing ) which outlines the proposed schedule to be followed and relates further information about how the retreat will be run and a more in-depth overview.\n\nRetreat Cost\nCabin: Wangapeka Member = $735, Non-member = $805\nCamping: Wangapeka Member = $585, Non-member = $610\nThis cost includes food, accommodation, cooks fee and teachers airfares.\nThere will also be two cash donation/dana/koha boxes available to enable us to contribute towards these precious teachings and to the Wangapeka.\nFor all enquiries, please contact Di Johnston: enquiries.nz@siddharthasintent.org ( mailto:enquiries.nz@siddharthasintent.org )\nRegistration\nPlease see here the form to register. DESCRIPTION:\nThe Great Accomplishment Ritual of The Heart Essence of Deathless Ārya Tārā\n\nThe Profound Mind Treasure of the Great King of Treasure Revealers, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo\nDear sangha,\nWe are happy to present our monthly online and in-person [Northern Rivers] Feast Offering Practice of The Heart Essence of Deathless Ārya Tārā (Chime Phagme Nyingtik).\nPlease stay in touch about other weekend dates when we will host the Chime Phagma Nyingtik and Vima Ladrup group tsok practices (this will not always be on the 10th or 25th lunar date).\nThe Tibetan word “tsok” means ‘gathering’ and refers to the gathering of practitioners, the gathering of offerings, the gathering of mandala deities, and the gathering of merit and wisdom. To attend this kind of practice it is helpful, but not essential, to have some familiarity with Vajrayana theory and practice.\nThe Heart Essence of Deathless Ārya Tārā tsok can be joined by those who have received empowerment. If you have not received the empowerment, you are still welcome to join the practice to sit and listen much as one might join a puja being conducted in a monastery or read a liturgy for the duration of the practice if one is provided by the host. The only requirement in this case is to have faith and respect towards Ārya Tārā and Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. However, in accordance with Rinpoche’s wishes, you won’t be able to download or keep a liturgy until the empowerment has been received.\nCLICK TO JOIN ZOOM MEETING (recurring link)\nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/84848015903?pwd=Z202SEplb0FMYjhTVzhRTU9XNGxWdz09 \nMeeting ID: 848 4801 5903 Passcode: 093649\nPlease click here ( https://siddharthasintent.s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/Resources/Practices/CPN/SIA+Online+Tsok+Information+-+CPN+August+2022+V2.pdf ) for information on how to prepare for this practice. The names will be read at the beginning of the practice, which will be dedicated to them, along with all sentient beings.\nGeneral questions about online practice, or if you would like to attend in-person, email: programs@si.org.au ( mailto:programs@si.org.au )\n\nPlease consider donating. Siddhartha’s Intent Australia is a not-for-profit organisation entirely run by volunteers. Your donation will directly help with the costs of providing our program of online and face to face practices, teachings and retreats. Ordained sangha welcome to attend at no cost.\n

To attend this kind of practice it is helpful, but not essential, to have some familiarity with Vajrayana theory and practice.\nVima Ladrup, The Guru Sadhana of Vimalamitra feast practice, may be joined by anyone who has received the empowerment. Those without the empowerment are still welcome to join the practice to sit and listen, much as one might join a puja being conducted in a monastery, or if attending in person, read a borrowed liturgy for the duration of the practice. The only requirement in this case is to have faith and respect towards Vimalamitra and Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. However, in accordance with Rinpoche’s wishes, you won’t be able to access the resources page, download or keep a liturgy until the empowerment has been received.\nClick here to convert to your local time ( https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ ).\nClick here ( https://siddharthasintent.s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/Resources/Practices/VL/SIA+Online+Tsok+Information+-+Vima+Ladrup+August+2022+V2.pdf ) for information on how to prepare for this practice if you are attending online.\nTo join the Vima Ladrup practice online click here ( https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84848015903?pwd=Z202SEplb0FMYjhTVzhRTU9XNGxWdz09 ) for reoccurring Zoom link.\nMeeting ID: 848 4801 5903\nPasscode: 093649\nView the SIA Online Prayer List ( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MiI4fCTY797LmTF1vFDfqQ2Cf7dMgsgR85F0ZgzjEeo/edit#gid=1461726388 ) to add names of people who are experiencing obstacles as well as for those who have passed away within the past 49 days. The names will be read at the beginning of the practice, which will be dedicated to them, along with all sentient beings.\n \n\nPlease consider donating. SUMMARY:Introduction to Buddhist Meditation Practice with Jakob Leschly
DESCRIPTION:Monthly Practice Sessions with Jakob Leschly\nPlease note: Jakob will be offline and travelling until end November.\n\nLast Sunday of the month\nTime: 5-6 pm Sydney Time / 9-10 am CEST\nThe Buddha taught meditation to calm the mind and allow for insight. He saw that we all naturally possess an unconditional sanity, which, although temporarily veiled by our speed and confusion, is fundamental to who we are. Meditation allows us to familiarise ourselves with this fundamental ground of our being. This program is intended for anyone curious about meditation and those already engaged in Buddhist study and practice. The program will include a 30-minute presentation of the theory of meditation and a 30-minute session of practice.\nYou can join by clicking here\nYou can access recordings here\n\nContact: Jakob Leschly jakob@siddharthasintent.org\nAll by Donation\n\n\nPlease consider donating. SUMMARY:Düntün Retreat in the Blue Mountains
DESCRIPTION:25th October – 1st November 2026\nWithout a foundation of samadhi, the many skillful methods of the Buddhist path will do little to transform our being. All Buddhist meditation is founded on the skillful practice of shamatha, that grounds us in our immediate reality; and the wisdom of vipashyana, that takes us beyond our habitual mind and opens us to the greater experience of awakening.\nThe retreat practice will be sitting meditation, combining shamatha and vipashyana as taught in the Tibetan Nyingma and Kagyu traditions.\nJakob Leschly will lead the retreat, offering general instruction and individual interviews. Jakob Leschly began his studies of Buddhism in 1974 and has studied with numerous great teachers, particularly Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Dudjom Rinpoche and Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. Jakob has been appointed by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche as an instructor for Siddhartha’s Intent.\nLOCATION: Medlow Bath, Blue Mountains NSW\nDATE: The retreat will commence at 6 pm on Sunday 25th October and ends 10:20 am on Sunday 1st November. You may arrive at the venue from 3 pm onward. Click Here to see more details on the retreat.\nCOST:\n$1,100 for SIA Financial member\n$1,150 for non-members\nREGISTRATION: Please contact Hugo Croci by clicking the button below to register your interest. Attendees will receive an email outlining what to bring and further information.\nPlaces are limited so please registration your interest as soon as possible.\n\nCONTACT: Hugo Croci at hugo@croci.au\n
