Introduction to Vajrakīlaya practice with Jakob Leschly
19th November 2026 | 7.00 – 8.30pm AEDT (UTC+11)
Jakob Leschly will be giving an introductory talk on Vajrakīlaya practice via Zoom. Everyone is welcome.
Vajrakīlāya sadhana engages the awakened compassion that destroys obstacles to enlightenment. It was taught by the dakini Karmeshwari to the Indian masters Prabahasti and Guru Padmasambhava. In the 19th century, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo received a direct transmission of this Vajrakilaya practice from Guru Padmasambhava, which we now have as the Aural Transmission Kilaya. About the practice of Vajrakilaya sadhana, Jamgon Mipham writes: “The practice of the Kīla of Immeasurable Compassion means to never abandon sentient beings through great compassion. By planting the kīla of immeasurable compassion into the targets—the sentient beings of the six realms—provides them with the lifeline of compassion, liberating them from the realms of samsara, and granting attainment of the nirmāṇakāya.”
