Reflections on Wānaka Dharma Camp 2025
This March, our magical SI team conjured up a children’s dharma camp, which ran for 10 days alongside a series of profound transmissions given by Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche in New Zealand. The aspiration was to provide a fun, immersive dharma atmosphere for 34 young hearts aged 4 to15 — a place where friendships would grow, where powerful experiences would build confidence within, and connection would flourish through our dharma community.
Creatively drawn from Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche’s vision for children, resources from Middle Way Education and Windows into Buddhism, with guidance from Blue Lion Preschool and GPI Youth, the program sparked curiosity and confidence in a fun and meaningful way!
