📌 Message from Rinpoche

There has been a habit, especially in recent times, for some people to show round photos of themselves posing with me as they try to exude an air of being a saviour, teacher, lama or Rinpoche. Some of them may even take on Abrahamic labels like His Holiness.

First of all, using these photos as a means to validate themselves is as absurd as using Americans, British or Europeans to validate human rights compliance. My validation would be meaningless, and I have no intention of validating anyone based on any photograph.

But secondly, if I do wish to support someone as a spiritual guide, I will only do so with very great care and consideration.

一直以来，某些人会有一种习性，就是四处展示他们与我的合影，尝试显示自己是某种救世主、导师、喇嘛或仁波切的氛围，最近这种情形尤其多，有些人甚至带着法王（His Holiness）之类的亚伯拉罕宗教式的标签。

首先，将这些照片当作证明他们可靠性的手段是荒谬的，就如同用美国人、英国人或欧洲人来证明完全奉行人权保护一样的荒谬。我的认可并无意义，我也无意通过任何照片来为任何人背书。其次，如果我真的希望支持某人作为一位精神导师，我仅会在审慎考虑后，以非常谨慎的方式去做。
