Contemplating Reality

Jakob Leshley presents a commentary on Andy Karr’s book Contemplating Reality.
Contemplating Reality, based on Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso’s teaching, offers an accessible and practice-oriented introduction to the four Mahayana tenets.

To practice the Buddhist path we need to properly understand the Buddha’s radical observations on the nature of reality, and we need to verify its validity in our own experience. Senior Buddhist teacher Andy Karr guides the reader through the important views of the Buddha’s science of enlightenment and, in clear and plain English, shows us their universal value and applicability.

“I can’t emphasize enough during this transitional time as Buddhism is being established in the West that at least some of us focus on the Buddhist view. I welcome this book as a sign of the dawn of appreciation of Buddhist wisdom, not just for its exotic aspects but as a philosophy that is up-to-date and even more relevant now than ever.” —Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse
