The Vajrayana Room

To attend this kind of practice it is helpful, but not essential, to have some familiarity with Vajrayana theory and practice. You can find supporting material below as well.

This Room hosts weekly Ngöndro (preliminary) practices and book reading gatherings offered by Siddhartha’s Intent Instructors. If you are new to the Online Temple and would like to participate in any of these practice sessions:

  1. Check our practice calendar above with information on all the practices currently available. You will have an option to save calendar entries to your personal calendar. There is no need to register in advance.

  2. You can join your chosen practice directly from here or from your saved link in your calendar.

About the Practices

We can help you learn more about our available practices. Our instructors can answer your questions.

Download your copy of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche’s new book, Poison is Medicine, written in response to the misunderstandings and misapprehensions about the Vajrayana that were exposed by the Vajrayana guru-related scandals of the 2010s.

Do you practise meditation because you want to feel good? Or to help you relax and be “happy”? Then frankly, according to Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, you are far better off having a full-body massage than trying to practise the Dharma. Genuine spiritual practice, not least the Ngöndro Gar preliminaries, will not bring the kind of comfort and ease most worldly people crave. Quite the opposite, in fact. But if your ultimate goal is enlightenment, Ngöndro Gar practice is a must.
