The guru is so vast and infinite that to consider the guru solely as a teacher or guide is very limited. When we cherish the guru, we cherish the fact that we have a mind and the ability to be aware. This constant flow of awareness is the quintessential guru, but it needs to be revealed and nurtured by our immediate gurus and our lineage gurus.
Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche was the emanation of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and the guru of many great teachers from different lineages. When we remember him on the anniversary of his parinirvana, we create the conditions to come closer to our innate guru.
