Erin first met Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche in 2005, and in 2007, spent a year teaching English at Dzongsar Institute and Deer Park Institute in India. In 2003, Erin joined the SIA Committee in the Memberships role—which involves answering questions from current and prospective members and maintaining the SIA membership register.

Erin has a background in education and mental health, loves digging in the garden, and teaching her dog silly tricks.
