Chimé Phakmé Nyingtik Drupchö
SSRC will be hosting an in-person group practice intensive (Drupchö) of the sublime practice of Chimé Phakmé Nyingtik (Heart Essence of Deathless Ārya Tāra). This drupchö will be led by Drubgyud Tenzin Rinpoche assisted by Florence Koh, Chris Jay and Sydney Jay. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche greatly encourages us to practice together in this way. Intensive group practice increases merit and removes obstacles for oneself, the Sangha and the Teacher’s activity.
The Chimé Phakmé Nyingtik is an extraordinarily blessed practice of White Tāra that unites the Vajrayana deity yoga of three great vidyādharas of India – Shrī Siṃha, Vimalamitra, and Guru Padmasambhava.
In order for us to practice the Dharma, we need a long life, and ultimately we need to realise our undying nature that is the real White Tāra. The practice of Chimé Phakmé Nyingtik enables us to create these conditions.
During the drupchö, we will review teachings on CPN bestowed by Rinpoche, and will also provide participants with the opportunity to experience the ritual roles of Umdze (chant leader) and Chopon (shrine master). Participants can also learn torma-making, and there will be ongoing mudra classes in the evenings. So come, join us for this auspicious festival of practice!
