Chötrul Düchen – Day of Miracles Practice (SI Canada + SIWD)
Please join Siddharth’s Intent Canada and Western Door sangha on Chötrul Düchen, Tuesday, March 7th at 6:30 pm Pacific Standard Time for a virtual recitation of the Heart Sutra, King of Aspiration Prayer and Prayer for the Longevity of the Buddha’s Teaching (written by Sakyamuni Buddha himself).
Chötrul Düchen, the ‘Festival of Miracles’ closely follows Tibetan New Year (Losar) taking place on the full moon (the fifteenth day) of the first month in the Tibetan calendar.
The first fifteen days of the year celebrate the fifteen days during which the Buddha displayed miracles for his disciples so as to increase their devotion.
During Chötrul Düchen it is believed that the effects of both positive and negative actions are multiplied ten million times.
The prayer liturgy will be shared on screen. Most prayers will be recited in both English and Chinese. For prayer liturgy click here.
