Making Sense of Mind-Only – study group with Jakob Leschly
Making Sense of Mind-Only
by William S. Waldron
“William Waldron has accomplished a small miracle in composing a remarkably clear and insightful introduction to the Yogācāra school of Buddhism.”
—David Germano, professor of Tibetan Buddhist studies and executive director of the Contemplative Sciences Center at the University of Virginia
Beginning April 6 – Online Study Group – 8 sessions
Every second Sunday – 3-5 PM Central Europe Summer Time
April 6, April 20, May 4, May 18, June 1, June 8, June 22, and July 6.
As practitioners of the Buddhist path, we acknowledge the mind’s capacity for both confusion and wakefulness. William Waldron’s work masterfully illuminates how the Yogacara masters elucidated the Buddha’s core teachings on dependent arising, offering a profound comprehension of our present reality and the nature of the path. By harmonising the classical sutras with contemporary sciences, Waldron presents a perspective that integrates modern and Buddhist analyses of what shapes our perceptions of reality, what entangles us, and what liberates us.
Jakob Leschly will conduct eight sessions, each requiring participants to read a chapter beforehand. He will highlight and summarise the key points, leading discussions that emphasise the relevance to our personal experiences and practices on the path.
Cost CHF 15 per session
