Melitis was born in Hong Kong but has lived in the US and Canada most of her life. She met Rinpoche in 1984 and has been studying under Rinpoche ever since.
Melitis was the retreat manager at Sea to Sky Retreat Center for six years and later also assisted Deer Park institute as a program coordinator for another six years. She completed a three-year retreat in Dordogne, France, under Rinpoche’s guidance but still considers herself as a beginner in the Dharma. Now a Ngondro Gar Instructor based in Canada, Melitis’ main focus is bringing the younger generation to the Dharma and taking care of the elderly in the Sangha.
She would like to express her gratitude for having met the Dharma and her wish is for the Dharma to prevail to benefit all beings.
