Arijit was born in Calcutta and grew up in the villages of Bihar and Jharkhand. He met Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche by accident in 2014 in Bodh Gaya and became a student in 2016. As a member of the Siddhartha’s Intent India board, he tries to support Rinpoche and the management teams in programming and administration for both Deer Park in Bir and Buddha Pāda in Kalimpong. Additionally, Arijit serves on the India Program Committee for Khyentse Foundation and is part of the team of archivists for Rinpoche's teachings.

"My deepest aspiration is for the Buddhadharma to reach more Indians and for Indian wisdom traditions to be revived and prosper in the land of their origin.” Arijit is currently based in Pune and works in Corporate Strategy.
