Chotrul Duchen Virtual Gathering for Auspiciousness
Please join Siddhartha’s Intent Canada sangha on Chotrul Düchen, March 3, at 6:30 pm Pacific Time for a virtual gathering to recite the Sutras, contemplate on Sutra quotes and dedicate with aspiration prayers.
Chötrul Düchen, the ‘Festival of Miracles’ taking place on the full moon (the fifteenth day) of the first month in the Tibetan calendar.
The first fifteen days of the year celebrate the fifteen days during which the Buddha displayed miracles for his disciples so as to increase their devotion.
On this auspicious occasion, we will recite the ‘’Heart Sutra’’ and two newly translated Sutras from 84000: (1) Taking Refuge in the Three Jewels and (2) The Perfection of Wisdom “Kauśika.”
We will also recite selected quotations from Sutras that 84000 translated as short contemplations.
The program ends with the 84000’s quizzes of “Real or Fake Buddha Quotes.” Everyone is welcome to join in on the challenges!
Sutras and prayers will be recited in both English and Chinese, and the text will be posted on the screen. Quotations from Sutras and Fake and Real Sutra quotes will be in English only.
