Chotrul Duchen Virtual Gatherings for Auspiciousness (SI Canada)

Please join Siddhartha’s Intent Canada sangha on Chotrul Düchen, Friday, March 14 at 6:30 pm Pacific Time for a virtual gathering of reciting Sutra and aspiration prayers.
On this auspicious occasion, we will recite the ‘’Heart Sutra’’ and the Sutra called “Dedication: Fulfilling all Aspirations”.
Chötrul Düchen, the ‘Festival of Miracles’ closely follows Tibetan New Year (Losar) taking place on the full moon (the fifteenth day) of the first month in the Tibetan calendar.
The first fifteen days of the year celebrate the fifteen days during which the Buddha displayed miracles for his disciples so as to increase their devotion.
To remind us of the immense contribution of 84000 for translating the complete collection of the Buddha’s words into modern languages, we will also recite selected quotations from Sutras that 84000 translated as short contemplations.
Sutras and prayers will be recited in both English and Chinese and the text will be posted on the screen. Quotations from Sutras will be in English only.
