In 1993, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche and friends began building SSRC on a secluded site of unique natural beauty in British Columbia. Its elegant and non-sectarian atmosphere makes it an ideal environment for hosting a wide variety of programs and gatherings - from contemplative retreats within diverse religious traditions to landscape painting workshops. SSRC also conducts its own Khyentse lineage study and practice programs.
