Registration and Sponsored Ticketing
Tēnā koutou katoa (a traditional welcome in Te Reo Māori),
Siddhartha’s Intent New Zealand, also known as Te Whare o Māramatanga (The House of Enlightenment) is delighted to be hosting this most auspicious event coordinated in collaboration with Siddhartha’s Intent Australia.
Please confirm your registration via Humanitix as soon as possible to secure your place after reading the conditions below.
Registration will close either when the places are filled or by 1st October 2023 (whichever comes sooner). There is a lot of interest in this event so seats might fill quickly. In that case a waiting list will be kept, so that seats can be offered to those on the waiting list in the case of cancellation.
In person registration for sponsored ticket holders will be open between 2.30 PM – 8 PM on the 3rd of November in downtown Wanaka at the Wanaka Community Hub, 34 McDougall Street, and 7.30 AM – 9.00 AM on the 4th of November at the event venue just outside Wanaka. The transmission and teachings will start at 9.00 AM, and be given over the 10 days, from the 4th and finish before lunch on the 13th November.
Important
Conditions of Sponsored Ticket Registration:
Sponsored tickets are available on our website. Due to Rinpoche’s express wishes, the tickets are free of charge.
One issue that has occurred in the past is the mass take-up of sponsored tickets in an “aspirational” manner by people who cannot actually come to the event or people who intended to come but find out they cannot and still hold their ticket “just in case”. This caused many seats to be empty that could otherwise be taken by people who were on a waiting list.
Please do not do this!
Do not order a ticket until you have checked flights and accommodation and have a high degree of certainty that you have the time and money to attend.
In order to mimimise this problem, you will be required to lodge a deposit of $108 NZD (plus processing fee of 3% + 30c) per ticket on registering. This deposit (less processing fees) will be refunded to all those who attend the event. Those who do not attend will have their tickets cancelled and will lose their deposit.
Remember that helping another person attend such a transmission by releasing your ticket holds as much merit as attending it yourself. Conversely, grasping onto a ticket even when you cannot attend may deny another practitioner the opportunity.
The conditions we expect all vajra brothers and sisters to uphold are:
- Do not order a ticket until you have a high degree of certainty that you will attend. This means that you have at least checked pricing and availability for your flights, visa and accommodation to ensure that they are within your budget. Also that you will be free of work and family commitments for that period of time.
- Please inform us immediately if you become aware that you cannot attend the event. You can do this via the Contact host button on the Humanitx order confirmation and select
“I want to cancel my ticket”.
Please note:
- Strict limit of one ticket per person. If you wish to register family members you need to start a new application and enter their details
- The $108 deposit is not a donation to the event as it will be automatically refunded to all attendees. If you would like to make a donation, please use the button on the website
- All sponsored ticket holders will be required to cover their own personal costs including but not limited to: food, accommodation, international and local transport etc. See information on the website for details.
- New Zealand has a high cost of living relative to many other countries. Estimated minimum cost for international visitors for share twin accommodation, food and local transport for the ten-day event is NZD$1500 (USD$950). In addition to this is your international travel costs.
Ordained sangha:
Please register on the sponsored ticketing page as ordained sangha so that we can allocate your seating appropriately. Ordained Sangha do not need to pay the deposit.
Day ticket
As per Rinpoche’s request, a limited number of day tickets will be available for people who wish to create a link with Longchenpa. They will be allocated each morning on a first come first serve basis. It is not possible to book day tickets in advance.
Donations and sponsorship
Thanks to a generous sponsor, the basic event costs have already been covered. However there are many other expenses which still need to be covered from donations including:
- Teacher’s expenses such as travel and accommodation.
- Entertainment offerings
- Venue decorations including flowers and original artwork
- Tea and coffee offering for participants.
***Tsok donations will be collected separately.***
Please know that SINZ is a registered charitable trust held under the auspices of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche. Any remaining donated funds will go towards supporting future SINZ activities as outlined in the purposes and rules of the trust deed.

There will be the option of purchasing a ticket for a daily private bus that will travel between the venue and do a loop around Wanaka at the beginning and end of each day. Please refer to the Transport section and News section of this website for more information, including the fee, when details become available.
Sponsored Ticket Registration Policy
Please read and consider the below very carefully:
- It is not permitted to share any information of the event on social media including pictures and comments during the event itself
- Only one sponsored ticket can be booked per person (including tickets for children under 18). Further event communications will be sent to the email address that was used for registration.
- Each sponsored ticket requires a separate application through Humanitix.
- A parent or designated caregiver, who is at least 18 years of age, must be responsible for all children under 16 and ensure they will remove the child from the venue if they become disruptive.
- If you do not have a ticket you will not be permitted entry into the event
We highly recommend that individuals take up travel insurance to cover their costs in case they are forced to cancel their travel.
