Laying Foundations

Meditation is the basis of all Buddhist practices. From the time of the Buddha until today, countless men and women have practiced meditation and personally discovered the innate goodness or pure nature the Buddha sought to show us. The meditation techniques of shamatha and vipashyana offer a practical method for awakening to the peace and clarity of our true nature. By breaking through the circle of our self-absorbed distraction and connecting with the open space of insight, qualities such as strength, wisdom and compassion naturally dawn.

The Meditation Room

Anyone is welcome to join The Meditation Room, although since there is little to no guidance during the actual practice, beginners to Buddhism who are interested to learn more are encouraged to ask our instructors.

This Room hosts regular meditation practices offered by Siddhartha’s Intent Instructors seven days a week and weekly programs on “Introduction to Buddhism”. If you are new to the Online Temple and would like to participate in any of the meditation practice sessions:

  1. Check our practice calendar above with information on all the meditation practices currently available. You will have an option to save calendar entries to your personal calendar. There is no need to register in advance.

  2. You can join your chosen practice directly from here or from your saved link in your calendar.
